Charles P. Oliver was the professor in astronomy and Director of the Flower Observatory at the Univ. of Pennsylvania. He was well know for his studies of comets and meteors. He became the founder of the American Meteor Society, of which I am a member. This book, "Comets" though written in 1930, is still applicable today. It covers the topic of comets very well.
